daily reading 36.5 (Ephesians 5:13–14)

 5-days-a-week through Romans and the letters Paul wrote from Rome in 2024

Our opening prayer for this week:

    Lord, one thing I ask you:
    hold in check my pride,
    as a child obedient
    at its mother's side.

    All your sons and daughters
    to your heart are dear:
    let us now and always
    trust, and never fear. Amen.

Ephesians 5:13–14

  • Everything exposed by the light is made visible, 14 for what makes everything visible is light. Therefore it is said: Get up, sleeper, and rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.
