daily reading 36.2 (Ephesians 4:32–5:2)

5-days-a-week through Romans and the letters Paul wrote from Rome in 2024

Our opening prayer for this week:

Lord, one thing I ask you:
    hold in check my pride,
    as a child obedient
    at its mother's side.

    All your sons and daughters
    to your heart are dear:
    let us now and always
    trust, and never fear. Amen.

Ephesians 4:32–5:2

  • And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ.
  • 1 Therefore, be imitators of God, as dearly loved children, 2 and walk in love, as Christ also loved us and gave himself for us, a sacrificial and fragrant offering to God.
helpful notes on Ephesians 4:32–5:2

For yourself pray:

  • That God helps you forgive the person you are having the hardest time forgiving right now

For others pray

  • That God spreads the good news of the kingdom of the Son he loves in Malta

A song to listen to and ponder, as time allows

  • Psalm 119 (YouTube, duet, "I'll delight in your word")
